Summer is around the corner. Almost time for hot days and early-morning net throwing. Mullet and pompano will be hanging out near the piers of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. An hour’s throwing will get you lunch most days.

Josh Foreman grew up in the Jackson, Miss., area. He is an eleventh-generation Southerner and a sixth-generation Mississippian. From 2005-2014 he lived abroad, traveled, wrote and taught.
